anti-GST antibody [S-tag-05] for Immunoprecipitation,Western blot and Other
Cell Biology and Cellular Response antibody; Controls and Markers antibody; Metabolism antibody; Signaling Transduction antibody
Overview
| Product Description | Mouse Monoclonal antibody [S-tag-05] recognizes GST |
|---|---|
| Tested Reactivity | Other |
| Tested Application | IP, WB |
| Specificity | The clone S-tag-05 is a mouse monoclonal antibody with high affinity to the glutathione-S-transferase (GST) from Schistosoma japonicum. This purified antibody is suitable for detecting fusion proteins containing the GST-Tag sequence expressed in E. coli, yeast, mammalian, and in vitro transcription/translation systems. |

Bioinformation
| Gene Symbol | GSTK1 |
|---|---|
| Gene Full Name | glutathione S-transferase kappa 1 |
| Background | The GST (Glutathione-S-Transferase) is a 26kDa protein encoded by the parasite Schistosoma japonicum, easily purified by affinity chromatography on immobilized glutathione. GST is utilized as a fusion protein with foreign proteins in a range of prokaryotic expression vectors, including the pGEX family of vectors. Antibodies against GST will detect the expressed GST protein or a GST-fusion protein, and can be utilized for immuno-purification of GST-fusion proteins. |
| Function | Significant glutathione conjugating activity is found only with the model substrate, 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB). [UniProt] |
| Research Area | Cell Biology and Cellular Response antibody; Controls and Markers antibody; Metabolism antibody; Signaling Transduction antibody |
