Overview
Product Description | Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a glycoprotein hormone produced by placenta after conception. hCG is comprised of an α subunit with 92 amino acids and a β subunit with 245 amino acids. The α subunit is identical to that of LH (Luteinizing hormone), FSH (Follicle stimulating hormone) and TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone). hCG sustains corpus luteum, stimulates progesterone secretion, hence is critical to early fetal development. It has also been reported that hCG plays a role in the development of fetal tolerance to maternal immunity. hCG is the most sensitive biomarker for pregnancy. ARG30059 Human Chorionic Gonadotropin ELISA Duos, includes a capture antibody, ARG10179 hCG antibody [HCG-1] and a HRP-conjugated tracer antibody, ARG10180 hCG antibody [HCG-2] (HRP), for studying Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) protein expression level by ELISA. |
