Overview
Product Description | Akt, also known as Protein kinase B (PKB), is a serine/threonine-specific protein kinase that plays a key role in multiple cellular processes such as glucose metabolism, apoptosis, cell proliferation, transcription and cell migration. AKT can be phosphorylated by 3-phosphoinositide dependent protein kinase 1 (PDK1) at threonine 308 (Thr308).In the other hand, serine 473 (Ser473) is phosphorylated by a the mTOR complex 2 (mTORC2) and DNA-dependent protein kinase (DNA-PK). AKT activity is dependent on the phosphorylation of Thr308 or Ser473 residues. ARG30038 and ARG30039 AKT phospho Duos, including antibodies recognize total Akt protein or phosphorylated Akt at Ser473 or Thr308, are designed for the scientists to study Akt regulation signaling. |
