anti-BAP / Bone Alkaline Phosphatase antibody [BGN/03/662]
anti-BAP / Bone Alkaline Phosphatase antibody [BGN/03/662] for ELISA,Western blot and Bacteria,Human
Overview
Product Description | Mouse Monoclonal antibody [BGN/03/662] recognizes BAP / Bone Alkaline Phosphatase. Mouse anti Human Alkaline Phosphatase antibody, clone BGN/03/662 recognizes bone specific alkaline phosphatase, a tetrameric glycoprotein found on the surface of oseoblast cells. It is normally present in high concentrations in growing bone and in bile and is released into the blood during injury and bone growth. Elevated levels can infer several conditions including Paget's disease and osteocarcinoma. |

Swiss-port # P05187 Human Alkaline phosphatase, placental type |

Gene Symbol | ALPP |
Gene Full Name | alkaline phosphatase, placental |
Background | The protein encoded by this gene is an alkaline phosphatase, a metalloenzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphoric acid monoesters. It belongs to a multigene family composed of four alkaline phosphatase isoenzymes. The enzyme functions as a homodimer and has a catalytic site containing one magnesium and two zinc ions, which are required for its enzymatic function. The protein is primarily expressed in placental and endometrial tissue; however, strong ectopic expression has been detected in ovarian adenocarcinoma, serous cystadenocarcinoma, and other ovarian cancer cells.
