anti-CD134 / OX40 antibody [OX-40] (FITC)

anti-CD134 / OX40 antibody [OX-40] (FITC) for Flow cytometry and Rat

Overview

Product Description FITC-conjugated Mouse Monoclonal antibody [OX-40] recognizes CD134 / OX40.
Mouse anti Rat CD134 antibody, clone OX-40 recognizes the OX40 antigen which is present on activated T lymphocytes that also express CD4 (Paterson et al. 1987).The antigen is a glycoprotein of approximately 50 kDa which is related in sequence to the low affinity Nerve Growth Factor Receptor (Mallett et al. 1990).Mouse anti Rat CD134 antibody, clone OX-40 is not mitogenic, but does enhance some T cell responses (Paterson et al. 1987).

GeneID: 25572 Rat TNFRSF4

Swiss-port # P15725 Rat Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 4

Gene Symbol Tnfrsf4
Gene Full Name tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 4
Background The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor has been shown to activate NF-kappaB through its interaction with adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this receptor promotes the expression of apoptosis inhibitors BCL2 and BCL2lL1/BCL2-XL, and thus suppresses apoptosis. The knockout studies also suggested the roles of this receptor in CD4+ T cell response, as well as in T cell-dependent B cell proliferation and differentiation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Function Receptor for TNFSF4/OX40L/GP34. Is a costimulatory molecule implicated in long-term T-cell immunity. [UniProt]
Calculated MW 29 kDa
