anti-CD252 / OX40L antibody [ATM-2]

anti-CD252 / OX40L antibody [ATM-2] for Flow cytometry and Rat

Overview

Product Description Mouse Monoclonal antibody [ATM-2] recognizes CD252 / OX40L.
This product specifically recognizes rat CD252, otherwise known as OX40L or CD134L, a ~22 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the TNF superfamily, expressed by antigen-presenting cells including activated dendritic cells and B cells, and also by vascular endothelium. The interaction of CD252 with its receptor OX40/CD134, acts as a co-stimulator of T cell activation, proliferation and both Th1 and Th2 cytokine production, and is also important in activated B cell proliferation and secretion of immunoglobulins (Igs). CD252/OX40 interaction has been implicated in HTLV-1 associated diseases including myelopathy and adult T cell leukaemia, and also with the autoimmune diseases rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease. Mouse anti Rat CD252 antibody, clone ATM-2 has been shown to block the co-stimulatory activity of CD252 on rat T cell proliferation.

GeneID: 89814 Rat TNFSF4

Swiss-port # Q9Z2P3 Rat Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 4

Gene Symbol TNFSF4
Gene Full Name tumor necrosis factor (ligand) superfamily, member 4
Background This gene encodes a cytokine of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. The encoded protein functions in T cell antigen-presenting cell (APC) interactions and mediates adhesion of activated T cells to endothelial cells. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with Sjogren's syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Function Cytokine that binds to TNFRSF4. Co-stimulates T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. [UniProt]
Calculated MW 21 kDa
