Specificity The antibody reacts with human J chain as tested by ELISA using purified human Ig fragments as the solid phase target antigen.
The antibody does not detect J chain in intact IgM in ELISA assays due to steric hindrance. In Western blotting techniques this antibody detects J chain in IgM only under reducing conditions.
