Overview
Product Description | Mitochondria routinely undergo fission and fusion events that maintain a dynamic reticular network. Dynamin-1-like protein (DNM1L), also known as Drp1, is a GTPase that fundamentally regulates mitochondrial fission. In response to many apoptotic stimuli, oligomerization of Bax is essential for mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization and the ensuing release of cytochrome c. These events are accompanied by mitochondrial fission that require Drp1. This antibody duo provides useful tool for the study of the mechanism of Bax oligomerization in apoptosis and other biological processes. Montessuit et al. (2010) Cell (142): 889-901 |
